Well, there was Tiger Army and a resurgence of psychobilly in the 90's, despite not really being notable till the end of the decade.

The last movie I recall seeing this done for was Billy Madison. I think it's a great practice. If I'm gonna watch a comedy on TV and deal with commercials, despite the fact that the DVD is ten feet away from me, I would like for my actions to be justifiable.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed both, but all I could think about while watching Dredd was, "The Raid did this better."
