I know Marvel does race swaps on a lot of characters, almost always changing from white to person of color, and it seems to work great - Nick Fury, anyone? But did they REALLY have to make Sunspot, who's a biracial Brazilian, white? I can remember a few issues in the 1980's where he had to deal with racism.
