From what I hear she had it out with George about the outfit later on. Which seems in line with what I’d expect from Fisher. Lucas was being pervy and she called him on it.
Yeah, that is easily her best outfit in the whole OT. Loved the no-nonsense, thin braids that are wound up against the back of her head too. She’s like “I don’t have time for your crazy hairstyles universe, I have a snowy base to evacuate!”

The issue with the movie was that it backed away from nearly EVERYTHING that makes the series point. That of dismantling “organized Abrahmic religion” was diminished heavily in favor of the non-religious fantasy focus of the narrative. AKA Hollywood is scared of the bible belt.
