Yeah he's the boss. His band is incredible. Saw them earlier this year at 4pm at a festival. Every other band afterwards could not even compete.

Did you listen to any of the recent tour episodes? Some of them were great (especially in the first half of the tour - you could hear everyone getting tired towards the end). When both PFT and Lauren Lapkus are both on form it was pure fire.

Rian Johnson is an excellent director, I think ep 8 is in safe hands. All these other offshoots, I'm not so sure.

Excellent comment… Cunard!

I need to give China Miéville another shot. Would you say Perdido Street Station is a good starting point?

I'm a bit of a sci fi nerd (anyone else here into sci fi books?) I recently finished Neal Stephenson's latest Seveneves which was flawed but mostly enjoyable. I especially enjoyed the first two thirds. It might have worked better as a series of novels rather than one big book. 7/10

I read Don Quixote out of some sort of duty and didn't really expect to like it… It was hilarious! I had an excellent time with that book, I will read it again at some point. Enjoy!

That sounds amazing! *downloads*

Hey now. Kurt Cobain had an outstanding voice!

Hello to you too! :)

Thank you for the welcome! This community certainly appears to be less toxic than most internet forums. As for being a jerk, I don't think that I am, but time will tell. I'm worried about the initiation ceremony meow.

I get you. The Black Album has a handful of killer tracks on it and it sounds AMAZING. However, when they dropped the thrash/speed element of their music it all starts to sound a bit… plodding to me.

I have recently been rediscovering early Metallica. They have been terrible for so long now but the early stuff is amazing. Just stop after …And Justice For All

I love Neal Stephenson but this was not one of my favourites. A friend of mine pointed out that it should have been a series of books to explore the different time periods better. Thinking back on it now I agree with him. The last third especially felt rushed.

A couple of obvious ones: The Simpsons around season 10. The American Office when Michael Scott leaves. Also: the Hunger Games movies after the first two.

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster! Hello!
