I started speculating on her status back at the beginning of the season when they revealed she was an alien. As it stands I hope they address this rather than ignoring it. Having an illegal President is kinda a big deal. I doubt we'll see it addressed until next season, there's just too much other stuff to resolve.

They at least hand waved that away with the "pot brownie" line. If she didn't see Olivia in her alien form again she would have probably rationalized it as being high.

More like "lay-zee" as in mentally lazy. Most of us know the "L" in LASER stands for "light," and a particle of light is a photon, not a positron. But at least this was in a review instead of being an actual line of dialogue.

I saw the playful idea too but this show is really bad in how it deals with secret identities. For one thing, you have people talking about their secret identities in public (Kara and Clark earlier this season, James and Winn last episode). Then people are able to figure out secret identities almost at random: Maggie

FWIW, I rewatched the first part of that episode. Guardian, the victim, and the shooter were outside a building in a publicly accessible area. The scene with the video shows an arm and a gun in the lower left of the screen. That's all. You said it yourself: "he has video evidence that shows Guardian attacked the

If they get away with it yes, if not it's "inmate number XXXXXXXX." Seriously, I'm not aware of an exception in the case of murder. Presumably assisted (by the wife in question) suicide would be the same as if the husband had died of natural causes. It would be an interesting question for Miss Manners or Dear Abby.

Beyond just plain bad writing, I think you're right about the whole "handles secret identities with disdain" thing. People can see through a secret identity when the writers feel like it. It doesn't help that characters routinely talk about secret identities in public. In the Pilot Alex was yelling through Kara's door

One final thought. All Cat could see was Guardian's/James' eyes but she immediately concluded he was James. What if James is the only black guy Cat knows and to her you really do all look alike? Just a thought.

Cat had been sucked out of Air Force 1 and was in free fall. She would have hit the ground at about 122 mph. Everyone else besides the President was either dead or a red shirt. The Daxamites blew up Air Force 1 before Supergirl could do anything. As you may have figured out, it's easier to catch a person than a 747

Sure, Kara has "deceived" Lena but it wasn't for malicious reasons. I think Lena will be able to figure that out. Kara needs to "compartmentalize" her dual existence as Kara the regular person and Supergirl the godlike alien. I've posted previously about what I believe to be Kara's need to have people in her life who

Yeah, that would be cool. They could bring the invasion to a standstill and the human population would realize that not all aliens are a threat when they see guys like Brian from the Alien Dive Bar™ fighting on their side. But the promo says it will end in a one-on-one showdown between Kara and Rhea.

And I'm sure they'll deal with that but probably not until next season since there's a bunch of stuff to resolve in the last episode. If they don't deal with it at all, then it will be time to be concerned. BTW, you're the latest of several posters who have brought up this same point. I mentioned the possibility of

She isn't fast enough to be in more than one place at a time. She saved Cat Grant but there wasn't time to save anyone else. She didn't refuse to save the others, she couldn't save them. There's a difference.

Yes, you do. They're in the middle of an invasion. You take care of that problem first. You repel the enemy by firing at the enemy. That's the priority. She can deal with whatever she thinks of the President later. Earlier she jumped off a building because she had faith in Kara. She could have fired because she had

I'm not sure but I suspect Lillian is doing a fair amount of projecting when she says Lena will never forgive Kara when she finds out the truth. Lillian is the one who hates aliens. Lena doesn't seem to care as long as an advantage in it (i.e., selling an alien detector because "people have a right to know if their

Okay, so you're in the middle of an invasion but you put your gun down and refuse to fight the real threat and have a hissy fit because the President isn't "legitimate." Sounds like a person who would do that has an issue with priorities. If the series doesn't deal with illegitimate President Marsdin at some point

Well, I liked it.

"Her 2 second unmasking of Guardian" left a bad taste in my mouth. She got a glimpse of his eyes through the slit in his helmet and she knew who he was. Really? How about some deduction. Winn says James is "hiding like a coward," which isn't consistent with the James she knows, and then a masked vigilante appears.

We didn't see Vasquez and Agent Piper (her S.H.I.E.L.D. counterpart) didn't appear in the season finale of that series.

I'm thinking they're going to follow up next season (there's just too much other stuff to resolve in the final episode: Supergirl has to defeat Rhea, Gen. Zod has to appear, Mon-El has to finally put on his suit). I suspect the majority of people wouldn't vote for an alien no matter where she was born, which explains
