I'd forgotten about that but yeah, great Easter Egg.

Agreed that Winn isn't going evil soon or ever. As for his feelings for Kara, Jeremy Jordan said last year that Winn will have to admit he's not completely over Kara. We haven't seen that and it's hard to believe they'll deal with it this season. We'll probably see it a few months after we see the Mon-El suit.
TBH, I don't think anyone with a clue expected Winn to become evil. The "Childish Things" episode midway through Season 1 cemented the fact that he wasn't going to. I never really got the vibe that Max Lord was going to be a serious love interest for Alex. There was never anything beyond mild flirting. He was better…
When I read the first several posts there was a ton of James/Guardian/Brooks hate. I never felt that and, like you, I thought this was a very good James centric episode.
Not just James, anything remotely connected to CatCo. Kara's reporter job and Snapper haven't gotten much screen time for the same reason, because the writers forgot about CatCo.
What genre of music?
Half sibling once removed?
That reminds me obliquely of Jigglypuff from Pokemon, back when I watched it with our daughter. He wanted nothing more than to sing to people but his singing put them to sleep. It was very Stan Lee-esque in a power-as-curse way.
Because they just don't get it. Real world logic doesn't apply.
Superman may conceivably have faced the original Brainiac. I'm not convinced though. And I agree that the show's Bizarro is probably Supergirl specific. As for the tie-in comic, I don't think the show pays much attention to anything comics related. If it did, this would be a very different show.
We saw Mon-El use his powers to battle Parasite. He ended up getting bailed out by James after getting his butt kicked. That's the last time I can remember.
I don't think he has. There was one kryptonite meteor and J'onn had possession of it. Lillian got hold of some thanks to her mole in the DEO, which she used to create Metallo.
Brainiac and Bizarro have already appeared as Supergirl villains. There was a reference last season to Superman having a history with Reactron and to him going "off world" though so he's probably been busy.
Thanks, it just makes a certain sense, at least to me.
I hope not. Supergirl has friends, Kara not so much. That part of her life needs to be just as full as the Supergirl side.
As Caroline pointed out, the show has a history of occasional unexpected turns. I hope Lena doesn't turn evil. Morally ambiguous like Max Lord, sure. An agenda, who doesn't have one? But not full on evil.
The portal should have been a subspace homing beacon. Otherwise how come Roulette's portal didn't do the same thing? There's no way what is essentially a prototype would be big enough to let multiple space ships through at the same time. And how does the portal transfer ships from multiple locations?
I watched The Nightly Show for its entire run and it had some excellent moments. But seriously, a black man addressing a primarily white audience that is looking mainly for laughs would do well to keep the tone light. Wilmore had an excellent platform but he couldn't manage that and it cost him viewers and ultimately…
I didn't see Alex interrogating Marcus (and why the heck do aliens have Earth-human names like Marcus?) I don't think that many interrogations involve offers of burgers. But it could have gone down much better somewhere other than an interrogation room. Except they thought (for good reason) Marcus was a threat and it…
Nothing to do with "worthy," it just wasn't working. As for Larry Wilmore, his show bombed because he was too in-your-face and the ratings reflected the fact that he was driving away viewers.
