A secret identity requires a certain amount of hand waving. That said, I hope she doesn't figure it out. Kara needs someone in her life who is just a friend to Kara, who doesn't know or care about the Supergirl stuff.

Actually, Kara didn't. If she came to Earth about 13 years ago she grew up on Krypton and has only been on Earth since the early 2000's. I suspect she started listening to boy bands for the same reason she keeps alcohol in her apartment, to fit in.

They didn't use it because it didn't exist until now. Not only plot hole but self-inflicted wound. And when did Rhea meet a White Martian in the first place?

Probably. Lena is already leery of aliens. Why else have your company make an alien detector "because people have a right to know if their neighbors aren't human"? Lillian will probably rub it in at some point.

Yeah, he couldn't shoot for the same reason Alex couldn't shoot Jeremiah. Serious Daddy/Mommy issues. Alex's fancy gun doesn't appear to have a non-lethal setting but with a regular gun he could at least cap her in the knee. That said, I don't know if I could shoot someone I loved.

James knows him because they're friends. Winn knows because Kara told him. J'onn apparently has a history with him. Beyond that, good question.

Agreed. James being Guardian makes much more sense now. Up to now it's mainly been the suit instead of the guy in the suit.

I'd just as soon Lena not know. Kara needs someone who is a friend just to Kara, not to Supergirl. If Lena finds out the dynamic will change forever.

Somebody had to be in charge. My guess is that many of the royals were party types like Mon-El but a government of frat boys wouldn't last. It does appear from the preview that Lillian Luthor will be back to help fight the Daxamites.

Kara is for sure, I don't know about Mon-El. I think he gets to hang around because he's an alien who happens to be dating Kara.

And of course it doesn't take serious IT skills if the organization is less than reputable. Sorry but Winn demonstrated a number of times that he was competent at his job.

You really need to learn the definition of "mole." Here's the one you're thinking of: "A spy who operates from within an organization, especially a double agent operating against his or her own government from within its intelligence establishment." J'onn wasn't working against the government,

A few quick points: First, James and Winn were talking about James' secret identity on a public street. I know we've seen this before, like with Kara and Clark at the beginning of the season, but it's called a "secret identity" for a reason and it still bugs me.

Given that this is a female driven show I'd hope they'd defy the old stereotypes to at least some extent and flip the trope on its head. Lyra isn't super per se and she doesn't have a secret identity but it's cool seeing her with Winn (although just what their relationship is based on besides sex and her taking

Yes, it is. Not every super type has a significant other who is also super. In fact, relatively few of them do. Anyway, using Dick Malvern just means the writers have to be creative. Unfortunately, we haven't seen a whole bunch of that. And if he's had his mind wiped sufficiently maybe he can return as a not-so-bad

Yeah, I checked and it was in fact written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the team behind "City of Stars" from La La Land. "Super Friends" was okay I guess but it couldn't hold a candle to "Put A Little Love In Your Heart," which had some amazing vocal performances. I kinda wish we could have heard more from the

I couldn't resist. J'onn partially erasing one person's memories in order to do the least possible harm just doesn't strike me as fascism. It probably falls under the Intelligence Identities Protection Act of 1982: (https://en.wikipedia.org/wi…. Four years ago a former CIA officer was sentenced to 30 years in prison

Yeah, they don't seem to be thinking so naturally the characters aren't either. Speaking of Snapper, there was zero reason for her to get fired. For one thing, she could have held a press conference as Supergirl. We need tension between Kara and Maggie. I know, let's make Supergirl hot-headed, disrespectful of

Sorry, I was under the impression "Running Home To You" was another cover. I could swear I've heard it before sometime. Maybe it's just that derivative. As for "rave reviews" for "Super Friends," that may well be the opinion of some people but it's not mine. It was reasonably cute but the choreography wasn't

Maybe. At this point it's the only thing that makes sense. Maybe he'll become "Valor" like in some of the comics and move to another city that needs its own superhero. I don't care as long as we're rid of him.
