Which reminds me, is it the same alien detector? The one Kara fried with her heat vision so it wouldn't work? If it doesn't work, how did it detect Rhea? Did Lena somehow discover it didn't work (How? Does she have an alien on the payroll?) and fix it?

Honestly, I hated that moment. Kara was just Mon-El level stupid. I mean, she had been "out" as Supergirl for a year or so at that point. Shouldn't she have been better at keeping a secret identity?

A few random thoughts. First, the Supergirl/Kara from season 1 always tried to talk her way through problems. The season 2 "hit it until it falls down" Supergirl really bugs me and makes the conflict with Maggie seem artificial.
Second, the "element not found on Earth" trope is pure crap. All elements heavier than

So was I but clearly we're not going to get rid of him that easily. I'm still hoping he'll be gone next season though.

I believe it's supposed to be short for Supergirl+L-Corp. I agree that it's not all that cute. I wish these people would try harder. "Karena" (Kara+Lena) comes to mind and I'm not trying particularly hard. It sounds 'way better than "Supercorp" though, IMHO.

Gen. Lane and Col. Harper are both better choices than Max. There are valid reasons for their absence so it wouldn't have to be explained. Cadmus knows her secret thanks to Jeremiah. Gen. Lane might have gotten it from Lucy, who also knows. I'd lean toward someone from Cadmus. They weren't defeated the last time we

By "the character" I assume you mean Max. They'd still have to explain where he's been all season though. It would be kinda cool to see Max again even though he's been replaced by Lena Luthor but my money is on a new character we haven't seen yet.

Okay, I remember Doc Ock and Peter swapping bodies years ago. I also remember a romance between Ock and Aunt May (IIRC, there was a panel of him eating chicken in her living room while Peter watched, somewhat aghast, as you might imagine), again years ago. Anyway, the body swapping thing isn't that hard to follow.

Ah, I see. As I mentioned, it annoys me too.

Wait, Peter Parker is a tech billionaire? Seriously, I haven't read Spider-Man in years so that's news. As for making unemployment an issue, that was never going to happen. It was an interlude before she "learned her lesson" and got her job back ('way too easily). Same with breaking up her and Mon-El.

I hope they do in fact "break her up with mongrel" and that we don't see him after this season. I'd much rather see her have a different love interest each season. Also, if they're even remotely paying attention to the comics, Mon-El will end up in the future with the Legion of Superheroes. He was never a Supergirl

Mostly agreed mainly because I was one of the people (if not the only one) pushing for Kara to work for Lena. Very few people have figured out who Kara is and, as I've mentioned, Snapper has some serious wearing-blinders issues. He thinks confirming your preconceptions makes you "objective." I'm always amazed that he

It could certainly work but then they'd have to explain where Max Lord has been.

I don't watch the other shows like Arrow so which part? The villain over multiple episodes or the hyped actor gets 2 minutes of screen time?

How would Kara "betray" Lena? If Lena finds out Kara is Supergirl she might feel betrayed but that's not the same thing. If Kara is forced to choose between, say, Alex and Lena, she'll choose family. We don't know who's behind Alex's kidnapping next episode. Could it be Lena and Rhea? I hope not.

Normally the DEO would probably be involved but this was the episode where Kara becomes a journalist again so they had to emphasize that side.

Ooh! Ooh! Max Lord! He knows her secret identity and that Alex is her sister.

See my reply above. It's called "artistic license." The audience expects to see something.

Superheroes generally are rich (Batman, Iron Man), they have stuff handed to them (Green lantern, the guy from Greatest American Hero) or they're beyond normal needs (Superman/girl, Thor).

Alex is absorbed by Maggie and her job. Winn is absorbed by the Guardian thing and the Lyra thing and the supposed-to-have-a-full-time-job-at-the-DEO thing. He interacts with Lyra, James, Alex and occasionally J'onn, which is odd since the man is his boss. There's no time left to interact with Kara or Mon-El. For that
