Yeah, in the musical crossover Melissa Benoist was noticeably pitchy at the beginning of "Moon River." I wondered why they didn't have her sing it again. I'm an amateur musician and songwriter and I rarely get a first take that's any good. But it may have been the best she could do or there may have been other

"Karamel" is Kara+Mon-El. "Supercorp" is apparently the cutesy name for Kara+Lena but I'm not a shipper of that particular relationship.

Last season was better in that regard. Bizarro and Silver Banshee were the subjects of multi-episode arcs that developed the characters. It wasn't perfect though. There was a bunch of hype about wrestler Eve Torres playing Maxima and then she got maybe two minutes of screen time.

It's called "artistic license." The audience expects to see something so the CGI people get busy. The USS Enterprise in the original Star Trek didn't make a "swish" sound in the first version of the opening credits and it fell flat. Then the sound effects guys added the "swish" and it worked.

It was more a matter of compliance with FDA *safety* regulations, which turned out to be more on target than you seem to think. Spheer and company *hadn't* been especially careful in terms of safety—or following rules in general—and he paid the price.

Actually, he hasn't. I get that he represents Journalistic Standards™ but he also has some serious issues he apparently doesn't recognize. First, he had Guardian convicted because he hates vigilantes. Second, he had Lena convicted, I guess because he hates Luthors. He was wrong, as in clearly biased, in both cases.

Sorry but no. Lena *is* a "security risk" but it has nothing to do with her being a Luthor. That's irrelevant at this point. It has to do with her values. Lena is selling the alien detector because "people have a right to know if their neighbors are human" and because it's a chance to make money off of xenophobia. It

A lot of us are disappointed in the reporter thing because she seems so bad at it. But the "only uses supergirl as a source" thing is overblown. She uses "Supergirl" (i.e., herself) as a source because she already knows. If you were a cop and you witnessed a bank robbery you wouldn't go looking for a witness because

I'd actually rather see more focus on Kara. As in Kara being Kara, finding her path and her civilian career, maturing as a hero and as a woman, instead of playing reporter and wasting time with some guy after she told James she wasn't ready for a relationship.

That would be cool. She and Clark would presumably have a history since he's dating her sister. Or maybe the DEO has another office in another city (like Metropolis) and she's working there.

If we see the suit at all it will be at the end of the season. As for him becoming a superhero, he's not really into that in the first place, he's just doing it because it's what Kara wants.

The only reason she pulls off her secret identity in the first place is hand-waving. People who have met both, like Snapper, still (apparently) don't make the connection. Glasses aren't a real disguise. When Supergirl originally appeared in the comics she wore a wig in her secret identity but that wouldn't work in

Lena has had Kara in her pocket for a while. Remember that Kara owes her a favor. And when Lena had been accused of providing Metallo with synthetic kryptonite Kara defended her by saying "She told me she was innocent and she wouldn't lie because she's my friend." (Paraphrased but that was the gist.) Someone mentioned

Really, how does any random person (James, Maggie) become a regular presence at the DEO? It's a top secret government agency. You need ID and a valid reason to go past the counter at the Post Office. Civilians don't hang out at the police station.

Oh, thank you, yes. We either see her being Supergirl or hanging out at the DEO (which amounts to the same thing). I've said repeatedly that each episode needs a Supergirl story, a Kara story, and a supporting character story. The first two can be aspects of the same story but we need to see her both with and without

I wanted someone to remember that CatCo is a media company. It owns at least one radio station. We saw an abandoned TV studio last season. She could be one of the TV on-the-scene reporters you see all the time. Being cute would be an asset in that situation, more than being knowledgeable or competent. Or, heck, they

I was a huge Anya fan and I didn't even recognize Emma Caulfield at first when she showed up last season. I had to watch the episode again. I was hoping they'd bring her back, at least occasionally, but it looks like that spot has been taken by Maggie.

Except Kara *doesn't* believe Lena is evil. She wrote a rant article originally about the alien detector but she came around and since then she's been Lena's strongest defender. Unless something happens to change that it will take something else to push Lena in that direction, assuming she goes that way.

To be honest, so do I but she was only there originally as part of a love triangle. When that faded she became the totally improbable Corporate Legal Counsel for CatCo, despite being too young and having no experience. The second-in-command of the DEO thing (after J'onn returned) actually worked and I expected her

I hope she doesn't turn into a supervillain. It's just too pat, too cliché, too "because she's a Luthor." Plus, as I've noted, Kara has valid reasons to hold back a bit from someone who takes advantage of xenophobia to sell alien detectors.
