As I've already said, the whole spaceship thing was super dumb. Maybe have aliens coming to pick them up and Kara has to battle them in space. Or disable the ship. Or push down on it to keep it from escaping from the atmosphere instead of backward to keep it from gaining speed. Hated that whole part of the episode.

Sure. Characters in most shows are exactly as competent/intelligent/gullible/whatever as the moment, not even the plot, requires. In the Parasite episode, it had previously been shown that Mon-El can bench press 750 lbs. but he was able to catch a car Parasite threw at a little girl. Last episode, everyone was dumb

Except it wasn't just Mon-El's advice, it was Lena's advice too.

There's a difference between lying and keeping some things private. Last season Max Lord found out her secret. If Max were less "morally ambiguous" and more "evil" it could have gone very badly.

For that matter, why wasn't her cape flapping over her head when she was pushing backward on the space shuttle in the season premier? Or when Superman was flying backward alongside her? Here's a thought: If they have to have the spaceship (which is a colossally dumb idea), why not just push down on it and keep it from

Well, Mon-El+Kara has been brewing for half a season so it may take most of this season to screw that one.

Sad to say you're probably right. Adam and Kara were set up to fail, James and Kara were set up to fail, It looks like Mon-El and Kara were set up to fail, J'onn and M'gann were set up to fail, so Winn and Lyra? Sure. Maggie and Alex are probably the only relationship that will survive.

Sorry but IMHO the whole plot line with the space ship was just awful. You have a starship and the only thing you can think of to do with it is to send a bunch of cosmic refugees back where they came from? Seriously? What about exploring the galaxy? It seems like humans are the only species that doesn't have that

Personally, I was disappointed they went with Mon-El being the prince. I was hoping for something 'way less obvious.

I've been saying for a long time that Mon-El is eventually going to disappear because he's supposed to end up in the Legion in the future. I don't think Kara is going to have any long-term love interest but rather a string of them, one per season.

Yeah. We need the Kara stuff as much as the Supergirl stuff. It doesn't necessarily have to revolve around CatCo but it's needed. And since we already have James, Snapper, etc., why not make use of them?

Maybe send him back to Metropolis? I mean, unless Kara somehow returns to CatCo, everyone from that world is suddenly superfluous, James, Snapper, all of them.

I hope not too but it's entirely possible Lena will say something like, "It was my idea that cost you your job so let me make it up to you. I'm always looking for PR people with good writing skills…" She doesn't have to be evil to have an agenda.

See my post above. ^ Lena is probably always looking for good PR people and it was her idea for Kara to post the story online. It may even be part of a larger game.

I have in-laws in the Dallas area and down there they don't think anything of driving 50 miles to get somewhere. It's all what you're used to I guess.

Except you don't need to "find things out" if you already know. Kara knew, as in had proof, that the kidnappings were happening. That doesn't make her "a mouthpiece for a government statement." Unfortunately, she couldn't tell Snapper that. As for publishing under her own name, that's just the way Kara is. I find it

I think last season Max Lord said something to the effect that the existence of Supergirl caused increased crime. IIRC, Lex Luthor said pretty much the same thing about Superman on Lois and Clark. Regardless of the reason, there does appear to be a whole lot of crime in National City. Then again, there has to be crime

At this point, I'd be almost happy to see Comet the super horse or a (what the heck is the time version of "long distance"?) relationship with Brainac 5 or just about anyone. What I'd really like is for the series to get back to its roots and focus on the core characters. Maybe give James Olsen a reason to exist other

"Hateful." Is that the new word for "doesn't agree with me"? Once more, thanks so much for raising the level of intelligent debate. No, I don't know what they're going to do. However, as someone who has some idea about narrative and characters, not to mention DC continuity, I know when something doesn't work and when

And once again you've raised the level of debate. I'm actually in agreement on J'onn (but of course you never asked, just assumed; how's that working out again?) Or the whole DEO idea. I was never wild about Ft. Rozz either; I hated that whole idea and I'm so glad Astra and Non and the rest are gone. James Olsen is
