I don't "hate" Mon-El, I care about the show. I do however, think he's always been superfluous and always a bad idea. Mon-El was never part of the Supergirl stories. Plus, adding an extra character makes for more complications and less screen time for everyone else. How many people are complaining about that already?

Except we're not talking about James Olsen, we're talking about Mon-El. James may well end up being written out or hr may not. He wasn't in this episode because it was DEO-centric and he's not part of the DEO. He wasn't in the last episode because it was a Valentine/girlfriend/boyfriend episode and he doesn't have one

Depends on the size of National City. L. A., which some people think National City is, has almost 4 million people and had about 9,000 robberies in 2015 http://www.city-data.com/cr… That's 24-25 a day and some of them were probably armed, in a world where there are no supervillains and people just have regular guns.

I rewatched the episode and it's not clear there even was a sparring session. Mon-El was getting ready when Winn detected CADMUS activity and everyone took off. After that, everyone was busy with Jeremiah.

It's still just Twitter, fodder to stir up fans. It's not official information. Plus, most of the tweets are still from fans. I hope you don't believe everything you see on Twitter.

Okay, it's late but I finally managed to check out your "link." I see a bunch of speculation from fans but nothing from anyone actually connected with the show. I meant an actual announcement from the producers. Still waiting for one.

Sure. She's supposed to be growing as Supergirl and as Kara. You don't grow if everything is easy all the time. I loved Snapper's comment under his breath after her speech about following her heart. He waited until the door was almost closed and then said "Attagirl, Danvers." I have a feeling Snapper has a softer side

There was an email alert of a post that I can't find now. It had a Twitter link but I'm at work and Twitter is on the blocklist.

Post all the rolling eyes you want. What would Mon-El's ring be doing in the Fortress of Solitude? You haven't answered. It's far more likely that it's Superman's. It's implied that he a member of the Legion but that leaves the question of when.

The ring isn't "obviously" anyone's except maybe Superman's. What would Mon-El's ring be doing in the Fortress of Solitude?

Why in the world would he be renamed Lar Gand? It makes no sense. "Valor" at least means something. Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Peter Facinelli were both in the opening credits and, again, there hasn't been any confirmation whatsoever that they left the show because of the move to Vancouver.

"He filled in for Superman" and that makes him huge. Sorry but I'll continue to disagree.

"Plus a writer tagged Chris with s3 renewal !" Care to provide a link to that? We may or may not see the suit and if they do as bad a job as they did with the Guardian suit we may not recognize it. As for the ring, we saw a Legion flight ring in the Fortress of Solitude.

All interesting characters are flawed. Him being a "prototypical frat boy" is his flaw. It means he's selfish, insensitive, has poor impulse control, etc.

Mon-El is the love interest of the star. He's going to get screen time. That's just the way it is.

I do too but I can't imagine what it is. Jeremiah said Kara wouldn't like it if/when she found out. That doesn't spell "prince" to me. Maybe coward who took the place of the real prince, maybe guy who murdered the prince and left him to die, but not prince.

Closer to 12 years. These people don't understand the concept of a timeline.

Mon-El isn't "huge" in the comics. He's a supporting character in the Legion of Superheroes. Saturn Girl gets more attention than Mon-El.

The line referred to "armed robberies" not bank robberies. Gas stations, convenience stores, all night restaurants and the like are open 'way before banks and they have cash for armed robbers to steal.

Does Juliette still have a day job? She was declared dead, remember?
