The Marine is such a gloriously dumb movie, it really doesn't get talked about enough. It would be a perfect addition to a marathon including Commando and Hard Target.

I was about to type that. If none of his previous statements were enough to turn off his supporters, then nothing will. This election has really lowered my opinion of a vast swath of this country's citizens. Probably the most depressing election of my lifetime.

But it's important that you know how much more principled and intelligent I am than the sheeple whose votes are actually going to matter!

The Beguiled is fucking awesome. One of Eastwoods best performances. I'm very curious to see what Sofia Coppola wants to do with the story.

Eh, that only makes me respect the movie more. To take something as shitty and hateful as a Mark Millar comic and turn it into an actual satire is impressive. Sort of like Verhoeven's Starship Troopers vs. the original novel.

I sorta liked it, too. It was a mess, but it was a thematically ambitious, tonally batshit mess, which at least made for an interesting viewing.
