The dialogue was pretty bad. And the whole "we need a redemptive arc for the protagonist"…there's something troubling to me about redeeming this guy who's been:

I think this show and True Detective are very comparable. Especially with the reveal that Rust is really a vampire, and he got that nickname because he is actually 1200 years old and super rust-y.
