Francine is definitely Wally's mom. It's so obvious at this point.

The Flash is benefiting from the same thing that Homeland benefited from early in season 2 (but of course to a lesser degree). The success of their respective first seasons inflates audience's/critics' favorable perceptions of early season 2 episodes.

In episode 2, Francine revealed that Joe hadn't been returning her calls.

He's a lying liar who lies. I'm not even sure if Francine is who he says she is.

I would have broken a couple of dishes, stormed out of room and dropped a couple of expletives on my way out. But that's just me…

Yeah, the writers have done a complete 180 wrt to Iris and she still isn't being written correctly.

I can pretty much guarantee at this point that she only showed up now to hand off a troubled son (Wally West) that she's been hiding for 19 years to his father.

Haha, read my above post.

But the same can be said about Patty though. In her annoying perfection, she becomes a bit one-dimensional.

Cute and smart, though.

Going into this season, I was prepared to love Barry and Patty but the writers and actors are trying too hard to make it happen and it just isn't doing it for me.

Patty and Barry are a snooze but Caitlin and Jay are IT for me. I am in LOVE!

Don't worry. They'll have their first date in episode 5.

What did she do? Was she even in this episode?

Am I the only one disturbed that they made Francine West a drug addict? Kinda stereotypical and lazy.

It moved which (relevant) characters nicely?

I disagree with this review wholeheartedly. This episode was a C- at best.

Forgettable face? lol ok.

There's a hierarchy in writing and I'm pretty sure tv writers rank very low.

I don't get a sibling vibe with Barry and Iris and I don't particularly care to know why Barry loves Iris.
