I agree, unfortunately even when he gets better I still cant stand him. It's just something about him in general, but I feel the same towards some other actors like Russell Crowe too. they might be great actors and wonderful people off screen but I try to avoid them on screen.

If you want to see Shatner at his very best, I recommend Boston Legal. Him and James Spader are just wonderful together, a pure joy to watch.

My favourite will always be Voyager despite all the hatred it receives exactly because it's strong feminist vibe an female scientist leads. depends on how much you like James Spader. the show is ludicrous, needs a complete suspense of logic, but it is fun and his scenes are a joy to watch.
