IIRC the books have pretty heavily implied that the reason there are so many insane Targaryans is due to incest (you even get Cercei wondering if Joffrey being as he is is due to him being incest child)

Yeah it was literally a long shot of blue skies whilst happy music played. I remember joking to those I was watching with that it felt like they were really playing up the moment, which was fair enough as it's about the one happy plot development we've had all season (I guess Albert's date counts, and maybe some of…
Admittedly when it cut to Coop sitting there eating the cake my immediate thought was "oh he's going to stick that fork in an electrical socket" because I'd already seen the image and title.
Didn't really affect much, but yeah it's still spoilery - it's just this is a show that often defies spoiling
You are correct, many people are confused. Either
1) The book has massive continuity errors
2) Frost has attempted to retcon plots they didn't much like
3) There is something incredibly clever about the changes in continuity that will blow our minds in the next three hours
People being emotionally sensitive to what's going on around them without explicitly knowing what's going on around them is pretty par for the course in Twin Peaks - I suspect it ties into Lynch's spiritual views (the same way Cooper and Hawk have made significant progress on mysteries by being receptive to the world…
It cut to blue skies (with the music still playing) and stayed on them for a while. I'm confident (optimistic…) that's the end of their story..
Yeah once they did the Kevin Corrigan stabs Patty just before she meets Ellen but then Patty pretends she's fine until she walks out of the hotel room then she clutches her stomach due to the stabbing… all in service of making us think Ellen had shot Patty for a couple of episodes I realised they were grasping at…
IIRC he did in the books, but it's made pretty clear that he just put something flammable on his sword prior to a tournament. Beric then has a proper flaming sword, I guess it's another thing showing the rise in magic/godly influence in the world
Yeah experts was for comparing an adaptation of work with the original work.
Discussing leaked plot details is just bleh…
I suspect they'll probably explain what it is next episode or whenever Arya next appears. This allows eagle eyed fans to get a heads up on what's coming and leaves casual fans pondering the question..
I honestly don't think this is a show that trusts the entire audience to figure it out ;)
I dunno, I initially thought that but then the more I think about the fact he randomly picks up one of 4 Emmys that are on the shelf the more that tickles me. Are they drawing attention to the fact that they deliberately staged it to look like his office? Does DHP just walk around with one Emmy all the time like a…
"I read a bunch of comments online that some people were bummed by the implication that it was all made up, but I don’t think that’s what we’re saying at all! I think we’re saying, I don’t know! Personally, I think it’s ambiguous." (David Wain interview)
"I could get used to this"
I like them when they're essentially criticism in the English Lit sense, the reviewer pointing out use of visuals/metaphor/language/whatever to gain a greater understanding of what the show/film is trying to achieve, sure they can include opinions on how well it worked for them but it's always incredibly subjective.
It's also quite nice to have somewhere to discuss in anticipation of something.
His reaction when she tells him she thinks she might be in love with Hurt's character definitely made that clear (it was my first thought when he responds with anger at her rather than.. well any other response).
Same woman from the first episode that James was eyeing up, no?
She was sat on the table next to us in a pub all afternoon a couple years back.
Brienne being at Winterfell bodes well for him.
It's awful cold up at the wall and he was pretty not insulated on that slab.
He was also pretty dead, I feel like that may effect one's showing…
