I agree the last scene felt wrong but I think it was supposed to. Her trysts with Nick have represented a bit of autonomy and even pleasure for June, so having that ended BY Nick and quite abruptly was always going to feel harsh.

I enjoyed Nick's backstory and I didn't feel that it took away from June's perspective in this episode at all. As others have pointed out, expanding upon the book allows us to see more elements of how Gilead came to be (some of these elements work better than others). Every dictatorship needs drivers, soldiers,…
I feel like that was the first time Rebecca let herself realize that she did love him. My heart!
I would love for this to happen but I'm ok if it doesn't. This episode finally made me believe what they have been saying— that they always planned to get rid of Greg. He had to leave in order for Rebecca to have a real relationship with Josh, get to the point of marriage (however rushed) and eventually go on a…
I think that he could parachute in for a couple episodes. Presumably he would be home for Christmas and could be a funny observer of Rebecca's revenge scheming.
I did too but I am happy with Rebecca's admission that she loved him and I feel like I understand more why they needed him to leave to move forward with this storyline. Here's hoping we get a few guest episodes next season!
Interestingly, nobody other that Rebecca, Paula and Greg know that she came to the airport. I think it makes sense that Greg won't be there but it is suspect if they don't even mention him.
This is the first episode I have loved since the Greg story line resolved (sob). The A plot was great between Rebecca and Josh's constant delusions and the parallels between Josh and Rebecca at the Bar Mitzvah and Rebecca and Greg and Jayma's wedding. The return of the Garfinkle ring was well deserved although…
This is exactly what I was going to write. It was a well done parallel. The minute she said that she hoped Josh would sit with her and talk about how terrible everyone was I was like "whither Greg???"
I agree. They really showcased Josh's strengths in this one without forgetting the obvious flaws. You could see why Rebecca had latched onto him for her happiness.
1. You are not the only one. I got very excited about that. I am, however, loving the abbreviated songs as they are used this season to show reality butting in.
You've listed a lot of issues in your comment so let's take them one at a time:
I don't think Becca and Vernon's baby would have that effect and I'm pretty sure that's who it's about.
Just an FYI, This episode and others this season were partially written by 2 black writers on the staff, they are interviewed in the Hollywood reporter article mentioned.
