I thought he was the guy that went to colonize Wessex later on, but apparently I'm way off
but back then, there wasn't any truly reliable birth cont—-
having Horik as for Floki to murder in order to get in on the plan was pretty dubious, I wasn't buying anything after that
hmm, this is a good point. I assumed she would have contacted Ragnar only after Horik gives her the dagger, but this makes sense and gives full use to those scenes
but the whole plot is about Floki's allegiance. He was also meant to be the operator of Horik's plan if he accepted. He's the central part of the whole thing.
I don't really know much details but apparently the third season is about the raids on France, and they will include a raid to Paris. That and considering the finale didn't have even one scene within Wessex, I think they'll just wrap up quickly in the next season and get the France stuff going. After all, the audience…
I don't even know why Donal Logue seems so charismatic to me but I'm always glad to see him getting roles
that was more related to this:

that sword looks too long
it's for historical reasons, he's based on an actual person and went on to do other stuff
I thought he had slept with Helga? No room for paternity drama because the dates don't support him fathering Floki's daughter though
I felt it was too blatant though, maybe if Bjorn did it later on…. but that wouldn't work.
Aslaug's boring, but I don't get why she's unlikable
because it's not a logic flaw. The "savage" part doesn't mean they should be cannibals, run naked and live in caves, it means their civilization doesn't have the more advanced characteristics of the other, and the show favors the earlier due to sentimental reasons. The "noble" part on the other hand doesn't mean they…
yeah, pretty much, it's just the way it was used to misdirect the audience, it didn't really jive with him talking about his wedding for example
not undoubtedly, but if they existed, the problem is knowing what kind of role they served in battle. On the other hand, everyone that got into a ship back then was trained in using weapons
it's not due to sex or violence though, if I'm not mistaken, the scene where Bjorn gets his nickname was also cut short, and there are others
this is the type of fight, minus the armor that could have happened back then.
that seemed to reinforce that Siggy could potentially go through with killing Ragnar's sons
