You know, I kind of knew Zoe's magic voice thing was coming, but given that the episode description was "Zoe discovers a new power," I was extra disappointed - up to that point it was entirely possible that the new power they were referring to was the power… OF CHAINSAW.

Are you kidding? That's exactly what makes her a great supreme! Not in the show universe, but as a TV character. Almost every decision she makes is either catastrophically wrong or good in the short term but with obvious long-term consequences. Either way, she's the little plot engine that could.
