In fairness, Aynsley's dead, so who besides Alison is left on the Neighborhood Watch?
In fairness, Aynsley's dead, so who besides Alison is left on the Neighborhood Watch?
Hmm. Was I the only one who thought it was actually Leekie's voice speaking to Kira at the end of the episode?
I think Art-Sarah is one of the more interesting unexplored dynamics, both because I think they have good chemistry and because it plays a lot on the identity questions the show is concerned with. Art has this instinctive trust in Sarah despite all the time she's spent deceiving him… it raises the question from the…
"Okay, the multiple people running around with my dead partner's face was one thing, but this? This is just too weird for me."
I still can't get over the fact that THAT'S WHERE THE SERIES ENDS.
Sorry, buddy.
I think that's a nice touch too, but I agree that Marty's not really being presented as the voice of reason or the creator.
Whoa… good catch. That's very interesting.
Between him and Bryan Cranston, it sort of makes you wonder what other actors out there could make that sort of leap.
House has definitely said something close, if not exactly that. I think you're right about the lack of comic element marking it as unusual. I also think on House and elsewhere you generally see the show making a point of responding, disagreeing with those statements. True Detective did not seem particular quick to…
"It's protocol to give me a warning when they release an inmate who has tried to kill on more than one occasion." "That's, uh… that's a good idea."
Dewey Crowe's criminal rampage to get his kidneys back is easily one of my top-three favorite standalone episodes of this show.
One of the great advantages of giving your show a well-constructed universe with a long roster of fun, interesting supporting characters - when it no longer makes dramatic sense for someone to be alive, you can just kill them off, no muss no fuss. RIP Sammy. Never learned that whole "look the part, be the part" thing.
I absolutely love how true they've been to Leonard's theme of the dumb criminal, and I think it's paid real dividends for them, in that shows more obsessed with masterminds to bring down would have eventually fallen into the trap of having to come up with contrived reason after contrived reason to justify keeping Boyd…
Plus, it gives them the ability to kill people off when it makes dramatic sense instead of keeping them around forever, unlike certain shows I could name.
tldr; you realize your position is no different from saying someone with pneumonia is a pussy for using antibiotics, right?
Flagrantly inaccurate. Mental illnesses are, in fact, what their name implies: illnesses. Normally I wouldn't engage with a troll, but the attitude that mental illness is self-indulgent and something not to be taken seriously is not just cruel - it's actively harmful to other human beings (remember them?), because it…
Am I the only one who thinks the fact that they're selling the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show as a holiday tradition is just unbelievably weird? Alternately: am I the only one who cares?
This season really cries out for a whole-episode flashback origin story type of deal, doesn't it?
Her whole arc for this season is her journey to realizing that she's not good at plans.
