From what I remember of what you could see of the tapes (and there were hundreds if not thousands), it mostly looked like movies probably taped off HBO or such. But the labels were all handwritten by Sammy, so that'd be cool. Seller wanted some crazy amount for them though.

I will defend Nelly's first album, dammit! And…I dunno, I heard one or two GG Allen songs I liked.

Was that the one that changed the lines to "All we are saying / Is give peace a chance / All we are saying / Is kick Hussein's ass"? I'm not sure if that was something actually recorded or just footage of the singers goofing around, but I definitely remember seeing it on MTV News.

Count me in too. Hell, I actually thought it *had* sort of become recognized as the classic it is, but judging from the comments, I guess the memo didn't make it to everyone.

I think I remember reading that part of the syndication deal with FXX means that the show will be going to streaming, too. Netflix has all the normal FX/FXX series, so maybe it'll wind up there too.

I dunno, I grew up and still live in the Ozarks (well, to a degree, I'm in Joplin), but I can't say I've ever heard it used to refer to a penis myself. Perhaps the show kinda killed it off or something.

I dunno if Turner did it, but believe it or not, it did happen at some point in syndication. Someone realized that the ratings dropped when they hit the color episodes, so a few stations ran the color episodes in B&W - and found that the ratings picked back up. Not sure if it was something done on a local level only

Is that most auto enthusiast forums or just Jalopnik? I swear I don't fucking get those dudes and their boners for brown-ass AWD diesel wagons. They'll have a feature up about some beautiful new sports sedan or bonafide classic, filled with comments about what a piece of shit it is, but watch them all swoon over a

Well yeah, mostly they've moved onto things like $1000 USB cables clearly sounding superior to puny $200 ones, but it was only last month I saw someone at the Hoffman forums insisting they still green-marker all their CDs because he thought it made them sound better, evidence be damned. (And yeah, I know CH doesn't

You're just jealous because your HDMI cables didn't cost $600.

Check some audiophile forums and you'll *still* find some idiots who believe green marker makes their CDs sound better and no amount of scientific data proving it's impossible will convince them. These same people also often believe that a CD you ordered from Columbia House will not sound as good as the one they

Fun fact: the commentary points out that Diablo Canyons 1 and 2 are actually real nuclear plants in California!

I'm curious since I hadn't heard about this aspect of it. So essentially the problem wasn't entirely with Arsenio's show in particular, it's more about CBS playing hardball with Tribune and Arsenio getting caught in the crossfire somehow? I did find it odd they made a big deal about the 2nd-season renewal and then

I don't even know if it's that (entirely). I think there's still a market for minivans - look how many old '80s/90s Aerostars and Caravans and such that people keep on the road even when other cars of their era have long since been demoted to the scrapyard - it's just that hardly anybody is making one anymore for

But unfortunately on TBS, The Boobs? Suppressed.

Whenever I see Ray Stevens, all I can think of is the time I took my wife to the grocery store and suddenly this sprinting naked man appeared. I hollered, "Don't look, Ethel!"

And speaking of Aero, the KISS Unplugged is surprisingly kinda great. Nice setlist mostly comprised of rarely-if-ever played live deep cuts, and all members seem to really be having a good time. It seemed to inspire several to say "Gee, maybe there was a little more to it than makeup and bombs after all…"

It definitely has aired on AS (and still does, I assume), and I think it's been on the TBS reruns too.

Eh yeah, I suppose it isn't really, just that I took it more as a joke on a specific segment of the viewership more than one purposely designed to poke at the series' own lack of continuity concerns itself, which is how I was interpreting your take on it.

I actually interpreted it as sort of the opposite. On the commentary they seem to lean more towards it being a parody of viewers who get irrationally upset about the minorest of changes and/or continuity gaps in a show like this, so this was a way of purposefully going far off the rails to illustrate that in the end,
