Which, according to the writers/producers on the DVD commentary themselves, is something they feel has hurt the show over time. They often point out how some of the most memorable gags of the old days probably wouldn't be possible now due to the reduced time allowed because many times they weren't necessarily

I had to consult the webs because I wasn't too sure what the hell the thing was either (I was thinking some kinda early Olds maybe), but there's a neat Jalopnik article detailing many of the "real world" cars seen on the show - http://jalopnik.com/springf…

Seems to be an 1896 Duryea Motor Wagon. They were the first commercially-available cars sold in the US, and also built in Springfield, Mass. - http://www.hal.state.mi.us/…

Sort of. They exist "in name only" basically at this point. I think all their stuff is rebadged Chinese stuff from Funai, who also makes stuff under a bunch of other once-famous names.

Thing is, according to internet craps I've read, Disney censored several episodes of BMW and excluded others altogether (episodes dealing with sex, drugs/drink, etc.). So yeah, if the original is "Too Hot For DC!" then I doubt this is gonna push the limits at all.

And can't forget "Family Dog," which arguably opened the door for so-called adult animation on primetime in the '80s.

Get it quick. All the Mazzio's in the Joplin, MO. area and surrounding cities are but distant memories now.

Pretty accurate for the US. A few games that happened to use "large" sizes like 16+ megabits or incorporated additional add-on chips like Nintendo's Super FX chip would go up to $70-80, but that was about the limit. I'd say most games were in the $35-60 range, and it wasn't uncommon at the time for games to hit the

Not as long as the "Moe's bar rag" episode exists. (Commentary track for KTAAR is pretty funny though, everyone pretty much readily admits the episode didn't work.)

I only have a Roku 1 myself, but it works pretty good 95% of the time for me (and that's even with running it from a crappy old Compaq XP PC). I think the Plex program itself has improved over time though, because I've heard a lot of negative comments from people who'd used older versions. Maybe they got the bugs

FWIW, if you didn't know, the DirecTV walls finally coming down also opened up access to Showtime Anytime and some other subscription-based channels.

And with the use of a program like Plex (which I think has a onetime $5 fee, but is worth it) you can stream media from your PC to the Roku, as well as add "unofficial channels" that aren't available through the official appstore, like Comedy Central and TBS and such.

I think I remember reading that he's "barred" from Real Time With Bill Maher now too, after his last appearance where he pretty much dominated the show for the entire hour blathering on, without any sense of humor visible whatsoever, about how civics courses should be added back to high schools. Maher would try to

I can assure you, all these years later, Sublime is *still* the soundtrack of loutish bros. I can't even go smoke a joint with someone outside my house without being subjected to an endless iPad loop of the Sublime discography.

They did. I still don't think I'll ever get used to the four-act structure. Stupid FOX.

But surprisingly, the channel did launch in 1994. I was going through some old tapes a while back and was shocked to find stuff from it, didn't remember it being around that far back.

Perhaps worth noting, XE lives on in a new form called Dinosaur Dracula at, go figure, dinosaurdracula.com

I think Lionel Hutz has actually been seen again in crowd scenes a couple times, though never speaking obviously. I guess one can assume he's still around in the Springfield universe, just that maybe the Simpsons finally wised up and stopped using him.

It ran here on the Fox affiliate in an hour-long/two episode 5 PM slot for a couple months, then got bumped by The Dr. Oz Show and disappeared. I'm not sure if *anyone* runs it currently. Don't recall seeing it pop up on the cable listings lately anyway.
