Loved The Act of Killing. That movie needs championing.

Really? The concept that there is a mole in the Circus wasn't communicated clearly enough? Approx 10 mins in: "There's a rotten apple Jim…"
"This amazing scene helped clue the audience in to just how closely below the surface Betty’s buried qualities lay." I always thought it spoke more about Betty's child-like obsession with being thought of as beautiful (the slightest flattery, even if it is a weird kid intent on collecting her hair, can placate her).…
Is that because his character would fit more with the tone of that show?
Ray is so damn likeable, like a mirror of Felicity. Both actors are just great at projecting fun, rounded people you wouldn't mind spending time with. They made me care about the soap opera bit of a superhero show and that is a fairly heroic feat in itself.
Ahh i see the author used the same tools as RLM when they compared the characters from the original SW flicks vs the characters in the prequels. it's a useful way of looking at things.
I enjoyed House of Cards Season 3 but I also agree it felt a bit all over the place quality-wise. I liked seeing Doug's recovery but I also felt like they should have shown Rachel's current life earlier, in order to up the tension.
For the most part I think this article is fairly nuanced.
i watched Frances Ha as it always cheers me up. A lovely warm blanket of a film that also manages to be knowing and unsentimental in its tone.
Nope, read again.
Hello there!
Thank you for the recommendation :) Will definitely check it out.
Yeah, it explains the ideas relating to the video's interpretation of MGS2 first, then it delves into aspects of the pre-release hype, then it deals with the in game mechanics and presentation. So it's not casual 'fun-fact time' viewing, but I found it instructive, if a bit hard work in places.
I was more amused by it than anything else. Slightly baffled too, till I watched this https://www.youtube.com/wat…
No worries, I do go on a bit! I hope work was not too stressful. I'm not great at condensing my thoughts, so thanks for bearing with :) Don't worry, we are not going near censorship, I am indeed with you there. Apologies in advance again for the length..
Thank you for responding. So I've decided to write war and peace….sorry! :-)
I agree that we shouldn't sneer at people who think the sex in FSOG is sexy, or representative of BDSM as a whole, that's not very constructive and certainly won't bring them to the (discussion) table. And hey, people's tastes are people's tastes. For example, Mills and Boon ain't my bag, but I respect that someone…
Apologies for the length, but I fear nothing good will come of this.
I'd put Secretary above that bracket of films. it didn't feel like pulpy trash (which I also enjoy).
Bit Long. Sorry in advance.
