Just finished "The End"-that was really satisfying. IMO Grimm was never close to being on par with like Buffy, but still was…well, the characters and actors were really great even when the stories were dull or not as interesting as they should have been.

Umm…why are they discontinuing it when it's still in demand?

"Known for playing the second-most famous fedora-wearing archaeologist in a Steven Spielberg movie"

Okay, I have to admit my interest is peaked by the fact they're actually doing this with a female lead. Sadly, that's an exciting novelty LOL

I haven't noticed anything with the audio, and IMO the animated stuff matches up fine. I mean maybe I'm just not picky with it 'cause it's hard to do, and maybe I don't care that much, but it seems fine to me.

What's this about TV Club Budget Cuts? Is there an article about that? In the Black-ish review the critic referenced…something…but didn't explain.

Okay, so I technically agree with everything the review said, but none-the-less I'm continuing to enjoy Zorn.

Great article! It's really interesting and weird to look back at these films, and how stuff changed from the 70s to the 80s and to now…

I don't care too much about messing around with stuff IF it's true to the feel of the source material, OR doing something really phenomenal with it even if its not. i.e., 90s "Batman" films, not okay. Batman the animated series, or Nolan Batman, or Batman Beyond or Ben Affleck Batman, sure, go for it.

Yeah, that's my one and only problem with it, and why I'd feel better if they made any of the other main male cast gay instead. (Which they should, 'cause it would be weird for one of them (at least) NOT to be gay…)

I agree…it weirds me out (because it seems too much like "we made this the gay guy 'cause he was played by a gay guy), and to me seems like any of the male cast EXCEPT Sulu should have been picked.

Are you saying Spock and Kirk? I'd love that, just to see the crazed reaction from the anit-gay gay men.

I like the idea of showing a family onboard (if that's what's happening), and obviously there should be gay characters. Only thing that weirds me out SLIGHTLY is just the fact it's kind of on the nose for a character synonymous with a gay man to be made gay, particularly if he's not on board with it.

I'm still nervous about this given I'm not seeing anything in the director nor writers' backgrounds that would make me think they can pull this off, BUT really glad it got a good review. I'm still hoping for the best, and am seeing it regardless. Hell, Leslie Jones and Kate Mckinnon in a Ghostbusters movie = must

I like that idea a LOT.

The *SCRIPT* is why I was nervous about this. Neither the writers nor director have anything in their past that suggests to me that they can do this. The *cast* rocks IMO, even if this turns out to be bad.

IMO unfortunately the climactic battle part of nearly every action film is ALWAYS the worst part.

WHAT "biased reviews" and "manipulative promotional campaign". You're the second person I've heard claim that, and like the first, not a shred of evidence.

I'm astonished every time I see a freak claim reviews are supposed to be "objective". That's completely inane and has no connection to what criticism is.
