I'm actually surprised AV Club, who have given good reviews to Gordon Green movies, focuses only on his comedies, instead of his dramatic and gothic films in this write up.

I think this could actually be good… David Gordon Green also directed All the Real Girls, George Washington, Joe, and Prince Avalanche. If he brings his dreamier styles to the project, it could work great as a Carpenter style homage. Plus, he was supposed to direct the remake of Suspira, so at least he has good taste…
