I'm pretty sure they said it was non-canon when it came out. It was made as an exaggeration of the force powers but you are right in that several scenes are in "canon-ish" especially the lead-up the E3.

I didn't see the heads of the mercenaries Daario killed, maybe that doesn't count because they were killed off-screen.
