I'm in a lousy mood today, so I'm liking this "complete and utter disgust" thing. I might have to give it a shot. Maybe I'll rewatch the awards. Still don't really know what "twerking" is - which, LukeBC2, I am ALSO very, very proud of - but falling into a funk might be a healthy addition to the weekend. :)

Yeah, you figured it out, Orange Whip. He gets a pass because he's a guy. You win a cookie.

Got it! So if you're a minority, you shouldn't be asserting your positions in an arrogant way, or something. Or you shouldn't assert your opinions in a way that suggests your worldview is the "default" one. Or whatever you're talking about.

I love "Baron Von Sweater-Vest." I am totally stealing that. Not for Rick, though. Being named "Santorum" is bad enough. I can't believe how well Dan Savage's campaign worked. I will never, ever read about, hear about or look at RS without smirking because of Dan.

"Now it's someone else's turn"? To be your "default" whatever? That's absurd. But good luck!

I'm going to add my "great article" kudos too. Thanks for it! It's nice to see a sane (and I'll say it, a little courageous) article written these days. It's getting really annoying going to news and pop-critic sites I used to like and having to wade through endless "Is Judd Apatow Misogynist?" types of articles.

Pretty much everyone puts it on burgers. And fries. And I put it on hot dogs (see below), but most people strenuously object to that (see above).

What about ketchup and sauerkraut? That's how I eat 'em. Don't love ketchup particularly, but I hate mustard for some reason. Which is weird, because I pretty much eat everything else on earth.

I actually didn't mind the Luke plotline (I'm a Luke fan too). I thought it was the funniest part of the episode. Granted, I didn't like the episode as a whole - C+ sounds about right.

Schmidt of season 1 and 2 was unique. I don't know a character in another sitcom to compare him to - nobody managed to be self-serious and have that kind of manic energy at the same time. He's just been kind of cruel and whiny this season, and you're right, it doesn't fit with people in their 30s.

Man - that's exactly what this episode was, wasn't it? Guy feels threatened in a way no guy actually ever has, so he runs off and does something stupid and dangerous to "regain" whatever the hell. I was rolling my eyes at the awkward premise of the episode, and I think that this is why.

I hope you're right, and I definitely think they have the talent to pull it off. I'm not going to stop watching or anything. Maybe the biggest problem I'm having is Schmidt. The character has so completely morphed into someone else. He was hilarious the first two seasons, but now he's just mean. Maybe this

I was looking forward to Coach coming back - I thought he was great in the pilot. But I don't think it's working. The cast is too crowded; I don't feel like the jokes are landing like they used to. Or maybe I'm just not enjoying this season like I did the first two.

Congrats on the new website! I'd like to see a page where I can access a list of all the TV shows you cover (like you used to have) and home pages for each of those shows, where you can see a list of every episode (like you used to have). I will hold my breath until you include them.

Zack, you're a good critic and a good writer, and clearly a decent guy. You don't need to apologize, rend your clothes and declare your unworthiness every time you write about a sensitive subject. I feel like you do that a lot, and it doesn't come across great. Being white doesn't render you incapable or unworthy
