I'm amused by the original Fire Elemental's passing resemblance to Lavos Core. Given the Candy one before that, I'm guessing someone has a thing for Toriyama.

How would Patience have predated Evergreen, when Evergreen lived and died millions of years prior to the cataclysm?
Hint: raccoon and blue jay.
Just a minor thing, but Starchy became an oldschool jailbird, not an oldschool hipster.
I didn't catch the symbolism of the statue and the jacket until you pointed it out, but now I see it too — and I'm very impressed. Makes me wonder what else I've missed.
This has been my favourite season so far, and Marceline's participation has been a big part of that—she's a well-rounded personality with a lot of depth to be explored.
Well, this only manages to enforce my suspicion that the little robot is schizophrenic or some equivalent thereof; every indication is that the mirror thing was a persistent hallucination.
Yes, riding the flying mushroom. Definitely not a metaphor for anything, especially not what the staff was doing when they wrote it — how could you possibly arrive at such a conclusion?
Thanks, but I know. I'm just used to several different commenting systems, and always mix up which one uses which.
Perhaps, instead of an "implicit message" that only a few people seem to see, perhaps it really IS about respecting a person's choice to be isolated? You know, exactly what BG said.
Are you kidding? Gravity Falls is gonna love him as Mayor.
Cartoons maybe, but the 90s hosted almost all of my all-time favourite games. Today's analogous titles are mostly watered-down money sinks by comparison, and that's not even the nostalgia goggles talking - I still enjoy replaying stuff.
If this show navel gazed any harder, it'd turn inside-out.. Again.
More likely is that it was metaphorical - a fall from power, followed by a breakdown due to the subsequent chaos her people will inevitably bring on themselves (as they always do.)
Touché indeed!
Tired of this sentiment. Despite what society's law-of-the-century may say, the medical definition of a child applies exclusively to the pre-pubescent; calling a relationship with a physically-mature teenager "paedophilia territory" is like saying interracial relationships are "bestiality territory" - IE, incorrect…
Hahaha wow. They didn't jump over the shark, they shot Russians into its mouth from a helicopter. Just insane enough to work.
A-? I think that's the highest rating I've ever seen on this site. Wow.
I'm pretty sure the "just" should be "still"; I don't think Trevor meant that the realisation had only then hit her.
I thought the same thing. The flaregun was just too convenient, and that last line sounded kind of foreshadowing.. Plus, he seems awfully familiar with park infiltration.
