I know Gendry was already fit from all the smithing, but I swear if/when he shows up again and it isn't Welcome To The Gun Show Turbo Rowboat Edition, I'm gonna riot.

Same. I appreciate that they're hustling the plot along (cough season five cough), but it doesn't have to be at the expense of good dialogue.

We got the battle of the bastards. That'll have to do you until the very end, I think.

As a history major, I thought getting to play with all the old books *was* the reward.

My answer was about the scene. It was about one of the actors in the scene, and the choices that went into making the scene. It was discussed at length after the episode aired. I stand by it, kiddo. And I'm done feeding a troll.

Exactly what about my comment made you respond so articulately? 'Sure, I'll just laugh but not present any argument whatsoever.'

For one, the show literally waited until the second Sophie Turner turned 18 and then immediately went "yay she's legal we can do the rape scene now!" Which is gross.

All Stannis wanted was to rule and be really boring, and all Renly wanted was Loras. RIP the Baratheons (especially Shireen).

I found myself predicting all the upcoming dialogue in those … heavy … dramatic … pauses (the Varys/Mel scene in particular). If I can anticipate the dialogue in something I've never seen before, there just might be a writing issue!

Gold dragons. Can't remember what the other ones are.

That was such a great scene. I loved seeing Cersei at her Slytherin core, and how quickly the septa went from confident in her imminent death to a perfect "oh shit" realization to utterly terrified at the hands of Frankengregor.

The canals of Braavos are famed for their waters' healing properties, don'tchaknow.

Oh, good point, and let's hope so. Though I wouldn't count on it, since the writers this season seem to be less imaginative than even the most casual of viewers.

I doubt Brienne knows that Valyrian steel can kill White Walkers though.

Timeout?

Seriously, how does he pay the bills on that place? There's only so much assassining a man can do.

Personally I refer to season 5 as "the season where literally nothing happened"

She had to hit every basket or she couldn't level up.

they never properly introduced the Starks as the only clan steeped in mystical pagan tree worship, and thereby their ties to the impending crisis

This is amazing.
