i thought as whole, they were going with making episode 9 the game-changer, as past seasons have been, but with this season, it was really forced. not to mention the fact that selina's presidency is still in play as long as the house votes…

but there are some severe plotholes… fact remains that montez is the ACTING president and that the house can very much vote. Even if this becomes a plot in the future, it still doesnt explain why A) selina isnt even going to try to lobby for it or B) why o brien wouldnt have lobbied for it during her spa stay

and honestly, the show can offer the same incisive commentary on politics it used to, especially with the intriguing notion of split ticket presidency… just imagine selina and montez as 2 women in the white house.
someone seriously needs to remind mandel that montez is ACTING president… or who knows? season 7 springs

personally i didnt like what mandel brought to the show… the fact remains that he wrote season 5 backwards, intentionally making her lose. Maybe he thought the whole presidency was resolved by episode 10 last season when there was a small tv screen in the background stating the house of reps werent voting again on the
