I'm a black women, and I agree 100% with this review. I saw the film yesterday and was completely underwhelmed. It pushed no boundaries, the directing was incredibly mediocre, and the acting honestly wasn't that good. It felt like a big budget made-for-TV movie. So much squandered potential.
