Bullshit, I'm non binary and oppose it, not only because it implies that non binary people would not being included if it were simply trans (short for transgender) but it also shifts focus away from trans women and towards dfab folks, who don't get nearly as much shit as dmab folks (especially transfeminine dmab folks)

The '*' is actually considered transmisogynistic and there have been numerous pieces of writing on it. Maybe try not to use it, or if you're going to, don't use it to refer to binary trans people as that is offensive (i.e. 'trans* woman')
