While i came to this article merely for the comments and thus, haven't read it, I would like to point out to @avclub-cd01e5786d65f27654ca570edef28c69:disqus that if your read Paradise Lost by John Milton, Satan is an extremely complex romantic hero (very similar to Walt in this case).
