Shirley's so unfortunately looks just like my shower gel. I weirdly haven't tossed it yet.
What about the pig?
There was also a smirkfest in his bullet conversation with Dan.
Phenomenal direction + lighting this episode. Beautiful shadows everywhere. The style of the Mike flashback episode seems to have carried over, the tone now shifted. And how bout the rainbow beam in that parking lot scene (screenshot above)?
Read that too and have kept it in mind since. I really hope its a red herring because as the show progresses, we have to suspend disbelief more and more, and to bring it all back to a realistic medical explanation would feel pretty contrived.
I came back here just to say PROPS. I also found your comment again by command-F-ing "stabby." Ha.
Nice. Did you see Episode 9's title?
Actual episode 9 title: Do Mail Robots Dream of Electric Sheep?
I had to look on Wikipedia with probably 70% doubt. I should have had more faith in you. That's amazing. Is this fan service?
Have you ever heard of the anime "The Legend of the Galactic Heroes"? Exactly, exactly this. It looks and sounds cheesy, but is a refined masterpiece that will hook you.

Yee
Camera in the mailbox. A Gilligan necessity.
There has been a small bit of mention that this may tie into the spin-off, as in the 'roving bandits' and news stories are from the early part of the apocalypse, when radio stations were still up.
It seems just a little coincidental that there were burned areas in Noah's complex, as well as mutilated bodies; both mentioned in the newscast.
Absolutely. You can see this in his exchange with the Governor and the radio broadcast / idea about listening to the radio with his father. I made a point about it lower down: "I was grasping for an outbreak-related explanation but really these are just news stories from the pre-outbreak world. This could draw a…
Ya that fits with the artistic feel of the rest of the episode. I guess my initial confusion may be intended; I was grasping for an outbreak-related explanation but really these are just news stories from the pre-outbreak world. This could draw a parallel between how Tyrese didn't simply 'ignore' the horrors around…
Any thoughts on the radio reports? There was talk of rebellion, bandits, mass killings, village destruction, and burnings in England.
I…am….CATAM!
