that's what I meant in that the episodes with those kinds of guest are not automatically crap or valueless but there are other podcasts with guests that i know and thoroughly enjoy and i just prefer to listen to in the moment.

I still listen to the podcast most of the time, with the greatest weight being on whether I find the guest interesting. I've come to some realizations on the podcast as it has morphed from a sort of comedy nerd type rifffest to now a much more interview driven thing of young hollywood starlets or bands I haven't heard

Is this the first TV spinoff that will take place in an entirely different genre? I know Breaking Bad has hilarious moments, but in the main, it is squarely a drama.

I tend to think that commenting on AV Club articles is a game where snark is the currency and here you have a comic who makes a point of being positive, refraining from attacking and rather just saying a thing is not for him. That draws a specific kind of "dislike".
