One of the clever jokes that I feel was missed in this article was the abrupt and implied killing of Maggie by Groundskeeper Willie. Back in Treehouse of Horror V, roughly two decades ago, Maggie slaughtered Groundskeeper Willie in all three segments of the episode. It took a while but he got his revenge.
