Well, most of the time the lion won't attack. In those cases you look totally uncool for not keeping your window down and your peers look down on you and make fun of you.

This is how you prove you're cool. You act slightly more dangerous than everyone else. Cool people keep the windows down because these animals aren't really that dangerous right?
