It's true that the premiere does have to come within the eligibility period but if you scroll down to program specific eligibility, the rules further stipulate the episode requirements - at least for comedy/drama. I double checked and limited series is frustratingly silent on the issue, at least as far as I can see

I'd go for Far Away Places - the one where Roger drops acid, Peggy stabs her bf, and the Don/Megan marriage dissolves via orange sherbet (it's been a while but I'm pretty sure it's that one).

It'll be competing in the slightly less crowded Limited Series field so I would be pretty surprised if it missed out on Series, Directing, and McLachlan at the very least.

True, but half of the episodes need to have dropped prior to the deadline to qualify. A bit confusing because all of the May Netflix shows qualify by dropping all episodes at once so things like House of Cards will qualify for this year but Twin Peaks will not.

Series submit six episodes and actors submit one (although, under current voting practices, episode choice isn't as important as it once was to these categories). The real place where episode choice matters is in the writing/directing races. Shows will typically submit only a few for consideration (if they are smart)

No Leftovers in drama series pretty much invalidates this entire list for me.

Moss can win drama actress and Coon can win limited actress for Fargo. Sorry Keri.

Agreed! I don't even think we've seen scenes of Lito considering telling Hernando or almost having him accidentally find out because Lito is being weird like we have had with most others.

As someone who is only passingly familiar with Jean Claude Van Dam and has never seen any of his movies, let me officially declare on the internet that I am OVER all the references to him on this show. ENOUGH!

Yeah, mostly I think it would just be more fun to have them in the loop.

Did Offred say that she has played Scrabble thirty something times? If they are doing it every day (which it doesn't seem like they are) that means at least a month has passed but more likely, several months, correct? I am not sure, then why the show has chosen to omit the part where the commander likes to kiss

Ha that's pretty much what I was thinking. I mean, I am not exactly watching this show for its plausibility but I would imagine that at some point Dani and Hernando will get filled in?

I can't always keep track of who knows what: Do Dani and Hernando know about the cluster?

Well Nick is a pretty terrible Eye tbh. Not going to be getting a good performance review from the Gilead higher ups. This was another ambiguous detail for book readers that got confirmed on the show.

Gilead isn't just Boston and Alaska - Gilead is the entirety of the former United States EXCEPT Alaska and one other unnamed state, maybe Hawaii. That is what is stated on the show, no?

Lol thank you I thought I was mis-remembering based on the above responses. I specifically remember a line where Offred says that she "chose" this.

Same - fellow Bostonian here and it is extremely jarring to hear all the Boston references in a city that is so clearly NOT Boston. When they were lost as well like sorry can't help you ladies, literally no idea where you are.

Thanks! that definitely sounds more my speed. Red All Over was just hte first one that I came across. Seriously, the last pod was over an hour and they probably spent less than half the time discussing the eps. I wanted their perspective because they were book readers but that's about all I can recommend from them.

Sometimes a little "too fun" though, I could use a few less tangents and much less cringey singing.
