To Jackson's credit, he did re-create the (supposedly) lost "Spider Pit Sequence" from the 1933 "King Kong" based on evidence (pictures, script, etc.) of what the missing scene looked like. His remake aside, I thought that was pretty great.

Although I enjoy (most of) their blockbuster studio efforts, I hope the Wachowski siblings will make another small-scale genre picture like "Bound" (their best film IMO.)
