Yes, I like very much when the show leans into their totally different approaches and mindsets, rather than the "I just can't stand ya, Joan" type stuff. I'm fascinated by how they didn't really *hate* one another, they just totally disagreed on their approach to craft, stardom, manners… even alcohol.

I'm so happy that I moved to a largely Caribbean and Muslim neighborhood, because while I do occasionally eat pork (hoagies 4 life) I don't prepare it, and now I'm around grocery stores that offer things like lamb and goat more. I would love to find somewhere to get rabbit!

Chickens absolutely have gizzards and they are delicious! Probably my favorite organ meat (depending on how you count tongue).

Eh, I've had Korean bbq tripe and they didn't marinate it at all, so it was just chewy and flavorless. I pretty much only ever appreciate that one when it's added to pho or some other kind of brothy dish where it adds a little extra meaty goodness but you don't have to eat it.

Well anyone who's followed his 1980s-90s business career like… at all, knows that he constantly overpays and under delivers on every single project, because if you pay six times what the, say, Plaza Hotel is worth, then you can add the six-time value to your "net worth," rather than the true value of the purchase, and

Between those two and Josh from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, this type is showing up a lot lately on TV and I'm enjoying it

I really like how each two-parter introduces a different theme that explains, in a kid-friendly but not condescending way, why adults fail, from Justice Strauss & Mr. Poe's belief in the rules despite all evidence that Count Olaf is manipulating them, to Aunt Josephine's cowardice. These themes were already there in

I always took Snicket's talk of sobbing etc to mean that he was the high-strung type (I kind of imagined a Gothic David Sederis, if you will) but now that I've seen him as the sort of morose and resigned Warburton, I'm just intrigued to find out what news is enough to move him to tears.

I thought it was cool because it played so nicely into the episode's theme of characters doing something unnecessary because they felt they had to. Charles could have gone off and had a happier relationship, but he doesn't because ASOUE is all about pointing out the flaws and failures in well-meaning adults. It didn't

Chloe from Don't Trust the B is basically Fun!Esme, so I think you nailed it.

Hahaha that was my introduction to the concept of stilettos and so anytime I see some particularly high heels I think of Esme attempting to walk around the hospital. So basically: same

Hey, hey, hey — it has been a long time since I read these books and I, too, have forgotten a lot of the details. It's been a while since these were first released! (tbf, though, I'd probably have reread them if I had been reviewing the series)

I didn't think the racial commentary was particularly insightful (not really anything to get mad about, just underwhelming) but the Bakula Quantum Leap song was hysterical

thats basically what this movie is

Yeah… I just don't really buy it either way. Lots of people confess falsely on camera, of course, especially when they are in distress, but given that Finn Wittrock hillbilly wasn't actively pressing her to talk about her husband's murder in the first place, a completely unprompted murder confession to the one person

This season has been very puzzling. So, essentially after the last two episodes, it's been proven that Shelby, Matt, and Lee were straight up right about everything! All the things in the "reenactment" are true, right down to the "MURDE" nurses. I feel like this was a major missed opportunity to make some distinctions

I love that she's a totally different type of oblivious and entitled now that she's no longer playing that drip Shelby anymore.

I've been wondering about that too. I'm assuming it's all contract/agent stuff, but I hope it didn't take any money out of Adina Porter's pocket, because she's been doing some HEAVY lifting this year.

No matter what nonsense is going on in the script, the makeup, costume, set design, and art direction are always amazing on this show.

Lost really spiraled out of control, but it will always have one of, if not THE, greatest TV pilots ever, and a really great, innovative approach to its premise by starting out with the character-based flashback structure.
