Yeah, I agree with that. Even the eps that aren't universally beloved may entertain you. For example, I never hear people rave about "Folie a Deux" but it's one of my favorite episodes.

Yeah, the early mytharc eps were gold. After a while, it became more and more obvious that the producers didn't really know what they were doing, but it was fun for awhile.

Yeah, the way they chucked the whole established alien colonization/conspiracy stuff bugged me. It reminded me of Fringe season 4, when they changed the timeline. It was like they were saying, "hey remember those first three seasons? Well none of that happened!" Now X-Files is doing that with their established alien

I think he's a mandroid.

Hey, don't knock it! Monster-of-the-week episodes were always this show's strong suit, or at least they became such when the conspiracy arc started to get truly ridiculous. And remember: episode 3 of this season is a Darin Morgan joint. That alone justifies this whole enterprise.

Ugh, that character, and the whole arc with her and Chuck, was terrible idea. Why did the producers think that viewers would want one of the set of main characters we follow to be serial killers?

Wow, that stuff about the writers actually explains the horrible characterization in season 3. It wasn't even characters acting different from episode to episode, it was characters acting different from scene to scene. I remember one episode had Kirsten Bell's character telling Sylar that he could be a good guy, then

Actually, it should be "Save the HRG Man, then kill him, save the world."

I flipped to Legends of Tomorrow during the commercials. At least I caught the awesome Captain & Tennille bar fight.

One of the many things about season 3 that made no sense was when both Angela Petrelli and her ex-husband (I forget Papa Petrelli's first name) tried to convince Sylar that he was their long-lost son. What?! Why would two evos want to adopt a serial killer who only targets evos? Why would anyone want to adopt a serial

Or how about Chuck's bitchy wife? She certainly had it coming.

But that bothered me: Biff stole the Delorean in 2015, took it to 1955 and gave the Sports Almanac to his younger self (thus creating a new timeline), and then goes back to 2015 and returns the Delorean before Doc and Marty notice it missing.

Wow, you're waay into Heroes. I haven't seen season 2 since it aired, so the specifics are kinda hazy (and I sure as shit have no plans to rewatch).

I didn't mine the way they resurrected Sara, because it allowed for the crossover with Constantine, a show I quite liked during its single season on NBC.

But Angela Pettrelli was in that timeline with the Irish barmaid, and Angela wasn't killed….

No, no, no, FUCK NO!!!

Agreed. The mythology on X-Files started cool and devolved into a mess, but the standalones were awesome, and just got more awesome over time. Some of the standalones are among my favorite episodes of television ever, like "Jose Chung's From Outer Space."

Don't apologize. Dracula was a colossal disappointment.

Murder She Wrote plus Moonlighting is actually a solid idea for a series. No wonder Castle got greenlit. For what it's worth, I'm glad it did—it's a paycheck for Nathan Fillion.

Why did changing history destroy the people in the future? It never worked that way before. In season 2, Peter Petrelli changed history, but his mother wasn't killed, even though she was in a timeline that ended up being erased (along with Peter's Irish girlfriend).
