"I didn't ask anything…you just walked up and started talking." I knew this joke was coming and it still made me laugh.

I loved how Nick was in the middle of arguing but still joined in. Oh OK, we're singing now? Cool.

Schmidt and Jess are two characters that I felt were a bit hollow in the premiere, even though they were being hilarious. In this episode they were back to being sweet and and real. There was something about that "I'm the pie, who are you?" bit that I really loved. It's things like that that restore my faith that this

"My uncle…is on fire." took the cake for me

honorable mention goes to "rum" (room)

The group dynamic was SO strong in this one. They've done a few of these ensemble episodes this season, but someone would always feel sort of shoehorned in—mostly Cece. This was the first time every single person clicked and felt like they belonged in the story, and the chemistry between everyone was great. It was

Winston is just musically gifted. Let's not forget how he stunned his roomates into silence when he picked up the bells.

"WHO ARE WE?"
"JOAQUIM!!"
"Really Joaquim? I walked you right up to it."
"COOLIDGE!!"
"Too late man, it's too late."

I do think Winston is capable of a really good A plot, but I agree that the randomness works for him. They wait for that moment that you stop thinking about him and then he pops up and his gags hit ten times harder than everyone else's. I was not expecting that crabwalk scene at all. Had they given him a more

Heh. It wasn't quite the return of "YOUTHS!" but it was close.

“You look like a little match girl wandering around Victorian England selling matches for a penny.” The delivery on this. It just got better with every word.

I kinda agree. I do miss his more laidback delivery from season 1. He talked a lot slower, he seemed…warmer, younger. Now he's playing him really cold, uptight and like, coked out or something. It can really work for some scenes but for the most part it makes Schmidt a little offputting. I could watch him improv with

She always does well with the tag scenes. I also loved when she said "Is this the craziest thing that's going on in the airport, really?" It made me laugh because I'm always getting yelled at for sitting in the departure/arrival lane too long. lol

I'm torn on it, because while it was random…there were some really great Jake Johnson/Max Greenfield improv moments. The monologue thing killed me because it's something Schmidt has been doing all season.

This too.

See, for once I don't think the show was really TRYING to drive a Nick/Jess plot here. Nick getting the wrong idea was just a little (and yeah, probably pointless) red herring. Even when it was all cleared up at the end, it wasn't Jess reassuring Nick about her feelings…it was Jess being honest about her sister.

I agree that Winston works the best in moderation. His lines hit so well BECAUSE they're interjected sparsely and unexpectedly. But I think everyone would still like to see him get a meaty storyline that spans two or three episodes just like Nick, Schmidt, and even Cece have gotten. I'm hoping that's what we're

Not sure what was so weird about Nick's assumption. Jess was being very obvious about not wanting him to meet her sister, and that can only mean one of two things.

I really enjoyed that "Did you notice what you just did, you're turning into mom" moment with Abby and Jess. The improv was part of the reason for it feeling so natural, but watching Abby and Jess joke about their mom's quirky habits made all three of those characters feel very real.

I was pretty disappointed about Winston/Bertie getting the shaft tonight. I guess that's what happens when you have three/four different storylines that AREN'T interconnected. However, from what I've read I think Winston's gonna get a bigger focus in the next episode - they're gonna get into his LAPD stuff.
