Supposedly they're throwing a dinner party together in the next episode and I cannot wait for that.

I read someone suggest that "Officer Bishop" had been using it as a "gun". I'm going with that, because it's hilarious.

True, but this episode had both the crazy ex girlfriend AND the crazy ex boyfriend so for me those scenes were just fun to watch. Not an original concept by any means but I enjoyed the energy the two guest stars added.

I didn't find it such a stretch for Caroline to be crazy. What we saw of Caroline before was when she still had Nick wrapped around her finger. We never got to see her angry side. For this episode, she had a real reason to be set off. But even still, there were little hints of crazy in season 1. Like when she did that

I loved Jess's playful skepticism about Nick's confession. Her "really? The moment I walked through the door?" was my exact reaction to that line. I like to believe that Nick is so in love with her now that in hindsight, it feels like he knew it from the beginning. And I felt like Jess's response kind of acknowledged

The "Why? Why? Because"…..oh the images.

Not only is she just as weird as Winston, but she's the same KIND of weird. I think I could love them together.

Nick: Jess, what are you crazy? It's not safe out there, Berkley can't go.
*cue Jess's shit just got real face*

The pacing in that Nick/Jess/Berkley/Caroline scene was so good.

I actually thought this was handled WAY better than when they've done it in the past. I'd take a funny gas mileage convo over a closeup of Nick/Winston doing the foot sensor thing any day.

Caroline is an interesting character because we're always told how terrible she is, but we've only ever seen her nice side. Kind of excited to see her go batshit and show her true colors. lol

The season 3, post-will they/won't they phase for the mindy project doesn't exist yet so that's not exactly a fair comparison. New Girl was at its best and had loads of potential for storylines in its second season as well. Not to say TMP won't handle things right, but comparing two different seasons is kinda apples

IDK, I can kinda relate to being clueless about something but playing it off like I know what I'm doing…especially around men. I didn't think much of it when she kept grabbing random bottles without really reading the labels

I thought it was hilarious when she cried out "and a really long uphill walk" with that crack in her voice.

Their cake became…double-cake.

The caption saying that Bearclaw sent the message unsolicited was so perfect. That aggressively forward, lovable creep.

I loved the bit where Schmidt was telling her how to make an old fashioned. When she kept picking up the wrong spirits and Schmidt was clearly thinking, "what the hell is she doing" but he was holding his tongue. Loved how he kept correcting her with the jigger too. Really nice scene.

What made it slightly less sitcom-y perfect was how concerned he was about the timing getting messed up if she took too long to talk. lol

Coach and Winston had so many great moments in this one. "Are you challenging me to a bake-off, Bish?" "Our cakes merged." And I loved them quietly trying to outsing each other on the birthday song.

I knew about most of the guest stars and I was still surprised. I assumed they'd somehow all be in the theatre, but the video montage was so much better.
