Desperado is a wonderful gem of a movie with amazing action and a stunning cast and it made stars out of Hayek and Banderas.

Well the Ring was good, but I don't think it was very hard to remake one of the best horror films ever and do it justice. All Gore did was just translate the film into English basically. I will give him credit however as all the other Japanese horror remaks were horrid.

Steven Seagal was like Hulk Hogan at his most egotistical in WCW and was never allowed to look weak ever.

Read the real life story the film is based on and prepare to be disgusted at how Bay turned somebody's real life horrific ordeal and made him the villain of the film! The victim was rightly pissed off with Bay's portrayal of him.

I hate Bad Boys, but the score and the main theme especially were amazing.

That is his best movie by far in my book.

Well I have been inspired by this blog and I am trying to watch every notable action film in order from North by Northwest to John Wick 2 so I'll get to Bad Boys 2 eventually! So far I've watched North by Northwest, the first four Bond's, the Dollars trilogy, Le Samouari, Point Blank, Come Drink with Me and the One…

Also there's bound to be another traditional action flick without an explosion somewhere but I can't think of one right now…

They are definitely action movies, but yeah a sub genre works better even though a film like The Raid 2 breaks out of that.

He didn't mention Identity but Supremacy and Ultimatum. They are the ones that brought the world the shaky cam. I don't mind it in those two films, but its imitators were awful.

What about Octagon in 1980? I've not seen it but Tom said it was a bad year.

It has Miranda Frost, a great car chase on the ice and the pre-title sequence is good.. But that's all I've got. It's better than Diamonds are Fover and Quantum of Solace but that's it.
