I rewatched it recently and nearly teared up when she says she is not damaged goods whilst that music played. I was with lots of my friends in a hostel who hadn't seen it before and everyone was willing her on during the fight when James Gandolfini and desperately wanting her and Slater to end up together. It was a

Bugger you beat me to it.

"I hate the feel of sand in the morning. It's dry and gets everywhere."

I thought Busey's death was really underwhelming and the Irish guy too was killed so abruptly. It also features one of the worst shoot-outs ever where the girl is able to take a phonecall during it.

    Bad Boys even more so.

Besides the score I think it's a movie with zero redeeming features. The action is woefully directed and dialogue is terrible and the premise pure nonsense.

Yes. Pain and Gain is also one of the most disgusting movies ever. Taking the horrific real life story of a kidnapped and abused man and making him the villain while the criminals are the heroes. Screw you Bay.

But what about the Hispanic actors in Desperado? :p

It's a gangster movie. It's whatever Goodfellas, Heat, True Romance and the Godfather are.

How the hell did The Shawshank Redemption not win 1994? Oh t's because, like Pulp Fiction, it's not an action movie.

Goldeneye, Desperado, Hong Kong movie The Blade, Die Hard with a Vengeance, Rumble in the Bronx, heck even JCVD's Sudden Death was better than Bad Boys.

But when the best American action movies these days are by and large straight to DVD maybe one of them is the most important of that year? Ninja Shadow of a Tear certainly feels more important than the two Die Hard in the Whitehouse movies and Fast 6 and objectionably probably is the best action movie of 2013,not that

I am glad you dispelled the 'Die Hard on a Bus' bullshit. There is only one terrorist in the movie and Reeves isn't on the bus by accident,he chooses to be there. The comparison doesn't make any sense unlike Speed 2, Under Siege, Passenger 57 etc.

And also means that Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon gets the nod in 2000 to give Chow-Yun Fat his third movie too.

Regeneration might be a surprise contender for best action movie of 2009 actually.

I think most people saw Speed before Demolition Man hence his point.

Under Siege was a great set-up but then it appears that they ran out time or budget and the last hour is so rushed.

And there's no obstacles to avoid either. It's setting up a plot saying "Things will get exciting when we get to land in one and a half hours".

Zimmer's, kind of borrowed score, from True Romance was just beautiful.

Bad Boys 1 was so bad I haven't seen the sequel.
