That genuinely touched me when I rewatched it last month. I found myself getting emotionally invested in an action film. Damn Speed is good.
I watched Speed last month and am happy to see it was eve better that I remembered.
1995- Bad Boys? Really? That movie is unwatchable hot garbage. It has terrible action, worse comedy and is more misogynistic than True Lies. You couldn't have gone with Desperado? It's mot even like it began a "Bay era" as you called it. Bay made one good action movie- The Rock and that's it.
I love both bands, Garbage especially, so this sounds awesome. Sadly I'm in the UK and broke.
And this is why electing a reality TV star with the intellect to match his fellow reality stars in Jersey Shore is a terrible idea.
One of my favourite movies, but I can't quite fit into the action genre.
1997 is loaded with Face/Off,Starship Troopers and the Fifth Element. I also think that Air Force One is the weakest of the plane hijack movies and actually worse that one released the same year- Con Air.
Ah. Then 2008 should be Ip Man or Red Cliff then.
I LOVE Battle Royale. Wasn't sure it was an action movie, but it totally is. It even has the captions saying how many people are still alive from the book. BR is my favourite book but one thing thing the movie has over it is the video with the cheerful girl explaining the rules. The second best scene in the move…
I hate dubbed movies. The one thing Departed has over IF is Mark Whalberg.
Amen.
Wasn't Dark Knight 2008?
The Departed isn't an action movie at all. If you include that you need to inclue Infernal Affairs to which is better than the remake imo but again not an action film.
Red Cliff 2 beats Regeneration and Dredd beats Day of Reckoning for me.
1995- Desperado
1996- The Rock or Mission Impossible (I love Executive Decision though)
1997- Starship Troopers/Con-Air/Face Off/Fifth Element. Hopefuly Face/Off
1998- Ronin
1999- The Matrix
2000- Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
2001- Fast & the Furious aka Point Break with cars
2002- Hero. Though if you are counting The…
I watched MI again and it is better than I remembered. Great movie that honestly didn't need the silly helicopter CGI mess.
I need to see that version of Hard Target,
I watched Red Cliff Parts 1 and 2 back to back this week and it still is amazing.
I found out about this movie literally this week. Robert Knepper sadly did not become huge like he should have after his role as T-Bag in Prison Break. Heath Ledger was basically doing a T-Bag impression as the Joker.
