I think that will get a mention. The T-Rex scene, the T-Rex chasing the car, the raptors in the kitchen. It has to count as an action movie in my book…. but even then I do love the Fugitive too.

I don't think the movie parts are bad at all. The scene with Tony Leung talking to the chief is great as well as others/

I think Chow Yun Fat in a white tuxedo covered with blood and Danny Lee who's white outfit is also drenched in blood walking through a church in slow motion whilst white doves fly behind them is an even more "This is John Woo" moment.

With the hospital and tea house being the 2nd and 3rd best action sequences ever filmed?

You have 3 of my top 5. I'd swap Predator for Hard Boiled and Road Warrior for T2… but I haven't seen Road Warrior yet…

I love RR. The way he writes, directs, produces and scores his movie is outstanding! Marachi was made for pennies too.

I always hear people write Woo off post Hard Boiled (which is even a little bit unfair to his fun US films) but Red Cliff is a work of art. I always think back to the genius way they get the arrows as my favourite moment. It also has the most inspired use of a dove in a Woo movie with the ending of Part 1.

You didn't like Kingsman? Colin Firth kicking arse in the chapel was one of the giddiest moments of joy I had seen in forever. Colin Firth as a badass was something I never knew I wanted until then.

I should add that I saw 2 first and by myself in the cinema. It along with Django aremy favourite cinema experiences in years. I had to walk home in the dark after seeing Raid 2 and was convinced I could martial arts kick the crap out of anybody who tried to mug me that night.

Amen! And I say this as a huge fan of his! My favourite of his movies:

Also whenever I think of a movie policeman Chow Yun Fat (and Jackie Chan) are what I think of straight away. This is the copiest cop ever!

I played the demo so much too! The game is one of my favourites!

The PAL versions are pretty good.

Well the Killer has more depth but you could say that the melodrama actually hurts it. Hard Boiled is just one of those movies I put on when I want to have fun.

    It still is Hard Boiled.

Drive is a drama I would say. It's an incredible movie, but not an action one.

He was undercover yes. They are completely different movies. I just find the action in 2 to be better in every single way however.

"Donnie you are out of your element"

I think being one of the better Bond movies means it will always be fondly remembered. The score to that movie by Eric Serra damn near ruins the movie. They had to actually re-score the tank chase in the movie and put the Bond theme in it because Serra didn't use it at all in the movie…

I kind of enjoyed Pain and Gain but then after reading the real story about the kidnapping I am disgusted with that movie. The ordeal that poor man suffered was horrific but the movie makes the victim seem like an arsehole and the awful criminals and amusing heroes. Awful.
