I think she knew for sure that there was a good chance he wouldn't play it. So she was trying to sell it as if it was a done deal.

Love Sue. "If you see a fire do you look at the fire and put it out or do you just say, 'I'm aware of it?'" Great delivery by Sufe.
I loved the banana gaffe because we've all been there. We've all had a banana that didn't work and it's just a letdown.
It's because the whole episode centered on two different cases of data mismanagement. Ericsson convinced Selina to fire Dan for one of the data breaches (the HIV one) so that they would still have Ben in their back pocket to fire if the other one blew up (the bereaved parents one).
I'm really bothered when people villainize her for "turning" on Don. She had made a sacrifice on the Jaguar business to get her partnership, and all she was doing was trying to protect it from Don's reckless behavior.
And Selina's comments on her "indented" head killed me too.
That intern is going to be the Anne of Arrested Development. Her?
Yeah, all I could see was Diane Keaton.
I actually laughed out loud at Marie in that scene. The reveal of the empty apartment was hilarious.
God, I feel like people were so harsh on that season as it was airing. But when I rewatch it, I think it's definitely my favorite. And I think that "The Other Woman" is right up there with "The Suitcase" in terms of best episodes. No doubt about it.
I feel like this almost misses the point of the Burger Chef pitch - it's not only about the idea that families don't come together as much anymore, but also emphasizes that family can be defined in a new way. It's about family that isn't blood as well, and gathering with people you care about. It's supposed to mark a…
Yes, he was. It's just odd because it seemed like they were setting him up as the romantic interest and then he was gone. And even more odd because he worked for the Voorhees family and then just…didn't.
I loved the Hannah/Adam scene tonight and her facial expressions were great. They reminded me so much of the first season episode (with the dick pic) where she comes to his door (with the crazy eyebrows) and tries to break it off with him. But then he wins her over and she gives that same sort of eyes rolling back…
I also was a fan of Jessa in the last two episodes. One thing I always remember about Jessa when watching the show is the story that Hannah told Shosh when they were at the hotel at the beginning of season 3. She said that when Jessa was sick during college, Hannah and friends stopped by to see her and when they had…
I don't get why people are so hung up on this. They explained several times that the school has very low standards for its teachers (one of them has a middle school education) and it's often presented as a kind of quirky alternative private school. Given that framing, I'm not shocked that Hannah still works there.
I just finished the series and I realized that I have no idea what ever happened to Charles. Why does that character disappear? Did I miss something?
That definitely seems like a good option too.
Yeah, there was a lot of implicit focus on privilege this episode. From the review to the guy from the conference to the things Richie/Brady had said about them behind their backs. Kind of made you think that in some areas, two white gay masculine males can probably have a better life than just about any other…
I don't need a happy ending in a story, but I am kind of hoping that Kevin and Patrick end this season on a happy note. And if they get a third season, things can go sour then. But if the whole series ends with some sort of contrived thing where Patrick and Kevin break up and a possible reconciliation with Richie…
I also thought the part where he was staring at Kevin and Patrick during the dance was really creepy. It just felt…off.
