Yes! & thats why Mike is so much more lovable than Walt, despite being a total mercenary killer, lol. yea, the "past is unk/future fixed" set up is fun bc its not what we're used to. Were trying to figure out how an ending will begin rather than how a set up will pay off. Good insights! :)

I consider it murder. He knew she would die, he allowed her to die. May not be technically or legally called that, but morally & effectively it is the same in my book.

thats a really good point, I would say - maybe both? - he does have some empathy, he isnt completely without guilt or compassion, but that makes him even worse because its even more of a deliberate choice. He kinda hates Jane but he also sees her as a relatively young woman through a father's eyes. Also Jane's death

mike didnt kill his partner. Mike killed his son's partner who had killed Mike's son.

Does anyone else think Tuco is gonna work it out, at least partly, if omly through pure paranoia? Id be very surprised is Nacho doesnt die.

hmm good point. I guess I just feel like the show portrays a very black and white, almost soap opera dramatic, view of the drug world. Thats actually what made the oxy seller dude a refreshing character to me. Just a sweet nerd who loves his baseball cards. Wholesome as apple pie. ;)

right, Saul has clearly negotiated murder as a business strategy often enough to be callous to it by the time he meets Walt. What Im saying is that Walt acclimates to that mentality very quickly, and I dont think Saul is the same type of person, I think it will take more to turn Jimmy imto Saul than Walt - Heisenberg.

PBR doesnt strike me as the beer I would presume Mike would drink, but maybe he just isnt very picky and is trying to save money?

In the real world, basic human decency aside, Mike would be very wise to avoid murder. Its a much bigger risk and much harder to get away with - again, in reality, not so much in the Breaking Bad universe. Not that Id know from personal experience or anything.

I mean, its fiction. In real life I would want Saul jailed (if omly because it would help illuminate some murders including the death of a child) and Chuck recovered (IRL how he treated Jimmy would basicly be irrelevent to the big picture when all is said and done) but my enjoyment of the show isnt necessarily based

I know the show is very anti-drug legalization but there is an obvious argument to be made thst what adults put in their own body is their own business and the oxy seller isnt exactly less moral than the cigarette seller. Im not saying I think meth or oxy should be legal (& I def dont think they should be used), I

I thnk its clear right away that Walt is basicly amoral with little regard for human life. Yes, he struggles with killing Crazy 8, & his killings were self-preservation right up until (spoiler) Mike & the prison shankings which were just about rage and greed. but right in the same episode that introduces Saul in

yea Chuck isnt an objectively perfectly moral guy but from an objective stand point he is defending the integrity of the law which is not an evil thing, he is mostly a good guy fighting for good, its just that we as a viewer are envouraged to root for a villian (before he really is one, when he is just a goofy con man

he's said before he did research, We know he's great at finding things out. & the Salamancas dont strike me as extremely subtle to someone who can do a little digging. Hank and the DEA knew about the family, Gus was involved with them they were in with the heavy hitters of the cartel for a long time and had a lot of

Because he could resurrect

Actually, it's not really true that the story kills off our favorite characters, not at all. - Spoilers from books - Think about it; the dead can be resurrected in myriad ways (Lord of Light style, fake out style, Warg style) and five long books in, we still have all the Starks except Dad and maybe half a bastard;

Pretty ironic how seemingly white people get emotional about someone not agreeing with them that a white people's show that rarely hires black people as more than stereotyped support cast featuring blackface is not at all offensive and totally hilarious. God forbid anyone accuse white people of being racially

Classic depression. I can relate. Hope he gets the help he needs & feels better. Sometimes you have to put work on hold & just do you.

I thought it was a brilliant satire of the whole Zimmerman problem.

What does "do a Marco Rubio" mean?
