I don't fully agree with you, but I do think FH has been a little uninterested in the films in the last few months. They seem to either be either chasing the next Ruck bit or just kind of annoyed.

I like my coffee like my ex-husband: pale, weak, and Irish.

No, I'm with you. I didn't think the improv got off the ground on episode 3. The interview was fantastic, though.

I'm sure Cameron chose the photo and submitted it herself. I think it would be if it wasn't HUGE.

I am waiting to hear if my contract for this job will be renewed for next year. It's my first year teaching and I'm very insecure about how good I am at it. I think it's likely I will stay on, but uncertainty is a bitch.

Fragrance landscapes? Oh, for fuck's sake.

I just finished Atonement last night. So good. The only other McEwan I had read was Solar, and I wasn't feeling that one at all. If anyone has thoughts on which of his books to check out next, I'd love to hear them. (Soon, though—I start my Master's program in June, so my reading time will be greatly reduced.)

After last week's Podmass, I checked out In Our Time with Melvyn Bragg. It's so good. I wanted a history podcast that was a little more satisfying than Stuff You Missed in History Class. I really like this one.

NO ONE HELP HIM!

THIS is what Jesse Thorn has been requesting donations for?

It can be two things (if you're Ad-Rock's niece or nephew).

I don't see any mention of it in the Spoiler Space. It looks like they have a character who coughs up blood so you know he's dying, so I'm sure it's a fine work of art.

How do you hate a song that's not vicious or malicious, just de-lovely and delicious?

Pretty sure I originally got it from a link in the comments here. Full circle.

Good to know. I've read the Tiffany Aching YA books and am familiar with Granny. I'll keep that in mind when I get to the Witches books.
